electronevice is an electronics design and testing business founded in 2024 and owned and operated solely by me: Max Bryk.
I graduated from Caltech with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and I worked for over 10 years designing electronics for space at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory – including electronics on the MOXIE instrument on-board the Mars 2020 Rover – before starting my own electronics design and testing business.
I have an interest in learning the deep intricacies of electronics and am intrigued when I discover a strange problem that I’ve never seen before - debugging obscure and complex electronics problems is a passion of mine. I am keen to learn new things and am always improving my skills.
When I take on a project I make sure to understand what the customer truly requires and not just what they tell me they need. I’ve been involved in several projects where I have been provided with a specific set of features, when what is really desired is a specific outcome. I strive to understand that outcome and work toward that outcome in addition to the requested features.
I prefer an interactive approach, where I can work directly with a customer to achieve their goals rather than serving as a “design house” which would take in a set of fully-defined requirements and churn out the design without frequent communication with the customer. I think the most successful projects involve more frequent communication and interaction.
In my experience, requirements development for a project can be difficult and expertise is required to define and develop those requirements into a sufficiently well-thought-out plan before low-level design work can truly start. I can provide the electronics expertise and work with you to help develop requirements both for the electronics and for the kind of electronics-based support that is best for you to achieve your goals.
